Inspired by the ancient Greek tradition of Euergetes - the “Benefactor” - ArtCinema proudly honours the generosity of friends and patrons who want to join us in empowering the next generation of global filmmakers and artists to thrive

Our mission spans filmmaking, educational labs, artist residencies, and creative grants - all thoughtfully curated through our friends and Patrons Circle. Our non-profit, ArtCinema Greece is our officially registered Greek non-profit under the Ministry of Culture, dedicated to film, art, education, and philanthropy.

We are also dedicated to preserving and enhancing Hydra’s unique reputation as a natural, cultural, and historical sanctuary within Greece and the Argosaronic islands - one that cherishes both its people, animals and its environment.

Patronage can take many forms, as one beloved Greek art patron describes it:

“Supporting creativity might mean collecting, curating events and exhibitions, building networks, or simply nurturing friendships and relationships that contribute to cultural life.”

OUR KEY PATRONAGE CAUSES

  • Youth Education: Art & Film Labs

    Connecting local and international artists, our educational labs inspire and support Hydra’s next generation of young creatives. Through hands-on workshops, mentorship and collaboration they explore new ideas and build creative skills.

  • Artist & Filmmaker Residencies

    Connecting our international creative networks with Hydra’s rich culture, incredible landscapes and artistic legacy as a global creative sanctuary. We develop unique projects through open, collaborative residencies and partnerships.

  • A Much Needed Veterinary Clinic

    Working with local animal welfare groups and veterinary experts, we support fundraising and community contributions toward establishing a permanent veterinary clinic on Hydra, improving long-term care for the island’s animals.

ArtCinema has a registered nonprofit organization based in Greece, with a global network of trusted partners that enables us to accept international contributions from Europe, the United Kingdom, the United States, Australia, New Zealand, Hong Kong, and China. We gratefully accept donations via online platforms, wire transfers, Crypto and checks.

    • In Europe and the UK, we collaborate with Transnational Giving Europe (TGE) through our Greek partner, HIGGS.

    • In the United States, we are proud partners of Myriad USA and members of the American Friends Funds, a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit.
