Australian virtuoso guitarist Kyran Daniel joined ArtCinema for a special three week residency that concluded with an intimate live performance from his debut album Like the Night Itself at Hydra’s iconic Old Carpet Factory recording studio, where much of the album was recorded.
With the vinyl release approaching, the performance gave ArtCinema audiences a special opportunity to experience the music in the very space where it was created.
Kyran Daniel began his career performing alongside Australian Grammy-winning guitarist Tommy Emmanuel. His debut album Per Se established him as an emerging voice in acoustic guitar and led to a full scholarship at Berklee College of Music, where he studied contemporary songwriting and production.
He later developed a successful career as a songwriter and producer, working with Australian artists including G Flip, Gretta Ray and Kingswood. Now based between Paris and London, Kyran’s own work brings together virtuosic guitar, songwriting and a strong sense of atmosphere and place.
